Applications are screened for completeness, accuracy, and qualifications. A records check is also completed on each applicant. During the application screening, records are compared with the information the applicant has provided. Some automatic disqualifiers include felony convictions and convictions for domestic violence-related offenses.
If your application is successful, the next steps depend on the position you're applying for. If you are applying for a role as a Deputy Sheriff, more information on the hiring process can be found here. If you are applying for another role, you will be notified either by mail or phone if your application is successful. From there, you will be invited in for an interview with members of the Sheriff's Office team.
